| Joe Barton, the ex-Chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee wants that position back in the 112th Congress. Because of mushy term limit rules, he needs special dispensation. Some may say that this is a veiled threat, others that it's a direct threat and the Secret Service should get involved, and okay, I don't see a third choice because I cannot believe anyone would miss his point. A sitting US Congressman (from Texas, of course) wants to shoot the President. If this were on a teabag site, posted by an unknown, you can bet the Secret Service would investigate. Remember that this is the guy who stood up and defended BP earlier this year. This Power Point came out yesterday, and I watched and waited last night and this morning and didn't hear it on any of the shows. It made the Washington Post, but doesn't seem to have traveled much further than that within the main stream media. Is anyone else as outraged as I that this gets published in a vacuum? And that nothing is done? |
