Yesterday we showed you four groups that were created to help bring the 2012 Republican National Convention to their city.
While the RNC should prove to be much more newsworthy, the 2012 Democratic National Convention will also be closely watched.
So far two groups have been created to bring the convention to their towns.
Charlotte, NC

Memphis, TN
Bring the 2012 Democratic National Convention (DNC) to Memphis This group is to be used as a support base for members to begin campaigning to bring the Democratic National Convention to Memphis, Tennessee. Our immediate goal is for 2012 but will continue to work for 2016 and beyond.
The 2012 Democratic National Convention needs to be in a city that can handle the size and magnitude. That city is Memphis. We have Fedex Forum Arena or the Pyramid Arena where the regular convention could be held, then we have either Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium or Autozone Ballpark where the nominee could give their acceptance speech. Also, Tennessee is one of five must-win states in the South for the Democrats in 2012 and there is no better place to start than Memphis.
