i am a former truck driver, i love lynyrd skynyrd, and used to love hank williams, jr. until he went all teabagger on us. i love to fish and eat white people's idea of soul food, i have a pretty heavy southern accent, i used to play high school football, i am white, i am straight, i was raised conservative christian, so i can talk the talk, i used to run thru the woods barefoot and shoot rattlesnakes with my .22 rifle i got for my 10th christmas.

if my wife wasnt terrified of politics, i think i would try to run as a gay rights, abortion rights, single payer health care system, open immigration, affrimative action, universal college access, drug legalization supporter, who thought the death penalty was a dumb idea, as is the idea that every person should be able to walk around with the ruger 45 or a mac 10 strapped to their leg. i support gun rights, i think anyone person who can show a reason, either safety or sport, show mental stability, have a clean criminal record should be allowed to either carry a concealed weapon, or own a rifle or shotgun, but that person would have to show they could and would store such weapon in a secure manner, and that they would be liable for ALL crimes committed with said weapon if it is stolen or 'borrowed' by an intruder or a friend or family member, including suicide.

I doubt my southern charm would get me elected, but at one time, i would have liked to have tried.

I live in Arkansas and personally know Drew Pritt.  He is the epitome of evil.  While the evil wicked witch that is Blanche Lincoln needs to be rid of Drew Pritt is not the person to replace her.  

Drew Pritt once ran for the school board of Little Rock and barely got double digit votes.  He likes to run for everything but more than that he loves the attention when he simply says he'll even run for something.  He's NEVER had a successful bid.  He was supposed to run for LT Gov but didn't even file probably because he didn't get enough money.

Seriously, if you have any questions about Drew Pritt....please come to me and i'll fill you in.  Drew Pritt is NOT for Arkansas...Drew Pritt is for Drew Pritt.

The big problem with progressives are individuals like you who act like your the defenders of what is right. You cloak yourself in a veil of truth, but the substance is lies.

I am a progressive. I am running for U.S. Senate. I have run for office as a candidate for Warren City Council (2002 - 43%) against a 18 yr. incumbent. Bradley County Judge (2004 - 14%).

In 2006, I ran for Lt. Governor. I eventually withdrew after 8 months because there was no path to victory for me and I didn't want to see someone win who would not have been the best for the job.

In 2007, I ran for Little Rock School Board. I got 8 votes.

So yes....thats my electoral history.

HOWEVER....why should I remain quiet when a U.S. Senator runs as a Democrat and votes like a Republican. Also, why do you perpetuate a lie about me, without truly trying to find the truth.

DocJess....either you got scammed about who I truly am, or you are one of those trying to perpetuate a scam and acting like it's truth. Are you homophobic? I have to wonder since I am gay and you wrote so nasty about Todd. In the end....be truthful and stop the lies. People are tired of slash and burn tactics in politics. Actually I've been frequenting this page for about a year now.  This page had THE BEST coverage of the Democratic National Convention last year and has some of the best news.  I just have never had to create a profile because I never felt so strongly on a subject that I had to give my two cents on.  Drew Pritt you are not for Arkansas.

Well...  I'm gay and my partner and I have been a close personal friends of DocJess' for years.  If she is taking issue with your candidacy, it is certainly not because of your - or Todd's - sexuality.  In fact, she would most likely be more supportive of an openly gay progressive or liberal candidate running for office - if the campaign was a serious campaign.

From what I've read, she is taking issue with the seemingly lack of seriousness of your candidacy, period.

A lot of us take politics very seriously.  Far too many people don't - and in looking at your PrittForArkansas website, it would appear that you are of the latter group.

There's absolutely nothing on your website about your position on anything - in fact - there's nothing on your website at all - other than a donation form.

There is nothing refuting anything anyone else has said.  There is nothing about you as a person.  There is nothing there.

Nothing, at all - from you, the candidate.

If you're not willing to present yourself as a serious candidate, you shouldn't  get pissy at people who call you on it.

Heres the deal, my website is not fully up. I am in the process of having it designed.

If you deign to do so, you can contact the developer, but a website is not just like a campaign done overnight. I do have a planning meeting with other supporters and if you truly want to give me a chance and be involved you are welcome to come. Just don't be so quick to pass judgement which is what I disagreed with in the first place.

Drew Pritt better known as Drew Pitt is an embarassment to the democratic party in Arkansas and most everyone associated with the party wishes he would just disappear into a time warp of space.

He has nothing to offer and has made a total fool of himself everytime he has run.  8 votes in a school board election.  yelling gay this and gay that everywhere he goes.  He has terrible personal hygeine and as politicaljunkie says he only runs to get the attention.  Attend a meeting with him and you will see he dominates it, love to hear himself talk and does not have the sense to see that everyone else in the room is rolling thier eyes at him.

He is the village idiot.  Everywhere he writes a note he always mentions Ency. Drama. and ourcampaigns.com.  Now if he did not want the attention in any form, why would he draw attention to the very sites that are so negative of him.  As policialjunkie indicates anyone who knows him knows he is not for Arkansas.  Drew Pitt is the Pitts and is for Drew Pritt Only.

As a woman, an Arkansan, a voter, a lesbian, and someone who knows Drew Pritt well, let me say that everything about him is fiction and made up. In my view, Drew Pritt is an embarassment to the GLBT community and to Arkansas as a whole. He cannot tell you truth about anything even when the truth would be better.

When the folks that I know that have confronted him, like some of the local gay people, he starts telling everyone else how they are lying about him and targeting him because of his position.

He really is the laughing stock of the glbt community and the entire state of Arkansas. He always talks at the top of his voice and his loud and obnoxious comments are usually not only stupid but offensive. He does not know how to shut-up and listen, so how can he be a senator? he will never listen to the people, we can talk but he never hears what we say, because it is all about him and his way.

His drag side as Didra is offensive to every lady out there and to the gay community overall. we have some nice queens (guys who do drag) in this community who give a good perception of women when in drag, but his way is demeaning, because he does not even try to look nice. He looks like a bag lady and talks about how the crowd loves him, when they really are laughing at him and when the boys that do drag talk about him, it is clear that none of them like him or want to work with him.

His old tricks of scamming people for funds continue. As a part of the Male Illusion (MI) system he started called MGAN he not only owes me but all of the other Kings money and we are trying to find a way to take this system away from him, as we know we will never see the prize and booking fees he owes us. He has cheap crowns and sorry looking sashes while the other system gives nice rewards for our entry fees. He tried to fix the scores at our contests before we got our board.

He told us he owned the system but when we checked he has never gotten a trademark or even registered it with the secretary of States office. we now wonder if he is even reporting it on his taxes as a business because he does not have an Employer Identification Number listed either that we can find.

I hope he is doing things right where America New is concerned though because the three drag queens who are on the board are nice people and don't deserve to get dragged down to his level. They are the real reason most of us Kings have stayed with the system. Before they came along Drew changed things and told us something different almost every day.

There is no way he could be a senator or even dog catcher because he is never prepared. I can give an example, he went to the Miss Gay Arkansas pageant this year and he wanted to use some of the Kings in his talent but he did not invest the time, money or preplanning needed. At the last minute he was trying to get our costumes and stuff together and did it so badly that all the Kings were embarrased to be assocaited with him. Our Kings looked like amatuers onstage just because they were with him and our Kings are not amatuers.

If he is elected senator he would be the same way. he would tell this side one thing and the other something else and show up to meetings with nothing prepared and then just get angry and start talking about people. That is his way of dealing with issues and the TV would have a hayday with him and Arkansas would look like fools.

He has pissed off people all over this state, as we have friends in Fort Smith, Fayetteville, Hot Springs, and Eureka Springs that can tell the same stories. He racist and sexist, his comments about lesibans are very offensive and he constantly lies. His comments are always that everyone is after him, which is one of the few true things hes says, but it's because of him always trying to be the center of attention and saying things that he knows is going to get him in a fight.

My wife (partner) tried to tell me about him before I got to know him well, but because of how he presents himself, I thought he was just a misunderstood person. Really he is a user, narcissistic (spelling ??) and self-asorbed person. I do still keep him close though, because that it the only way I can know what he is up to until we can gain control of America New, that he is going to screw up if he remains in control. I can only imagine what would happen if he made it to washington. The senate would never know if they were going to see nice drew, angry Drew, crazy Drew, or maybe even Didra from day to day.

He does not realize that we all talk to each other and know that he tells everyone something different. He tells us all the time that he is the "Jewish Madea" and the ways he talks and acts is offensive to the Jewish and African-American people. He claims to be an activist but the only thing he is active in doing is trying to promote himself. He tries to talk and act like a black person, making references to ghetto things when with his black "friends" and does not realize that this is highly offensive and does not represent the black community as a whole. His talking about the jewish community are just as offensive because he sterotypes what he thinks jewish folks are like.

He also makes one sexually offensive comment after another, he does not know how to act around women. He also tries to push the women around like he is better than them.

He has tried to break up at least one couple that we know even though he is gay.How stupid is that? We all heard about an incident where he got into it with a King and almost got his a/s/s whipped by her straight male roomate who threw him out of thier home because of his mouth and how he was treating them. This story made the rounds of all the Kings in Arkansas within just a few days. of course he told about a hundred people that he was innocent and was the victim. I will admit that the particular King in question is not one of our favorites but we all knew she was telling the truth as his story had holes all in it when we all talked about it and pieced it together.

He did not know that sometimes when we have had issues with him and talked with him on the phone that he has been on a three-way call and has told me something totally different than he had just told the other King who was listening in. He tries to play both parties against each other.

He would not make a good senator also because he does not respect other people. A example of this is that he has posted pictures of some of the Kings on his myspace page without getting permission and infact stolen pictures from other pages and posted them as his. This invades someone privacy cause some of us are not "out" at work or to our familys and don't want our pictures everywhere.

He did the same thing with his boyfriends pictures putting them up on his Didra website even though his boyfriend is closeted and in the military. He does not think about anyone but himself and does not care if his actions hurt othres. His boyfriend is nice and we like him, but he is being used by Drew also and is just a kid who does not know any better. he also promises to show up at parties or things and then just doesnt, this is not what we need in a senator.

As to his political aspirations, if he cannot pay his bills, own a car, complete school after a thousand tries, how can he possibly serve in office. He never completes anything as we have found out. It would be hard enough to be elected as a GLBT person, as many in the mainstream have problems with even that, but does he really think they are going to elect a guy in drag? When you have so many bad things in your past, you have to know the other side is goning to bring them up in the election. You can deny a few things or say they are just BS but all there is about him and with all the people he has pissed off, there is no way he could make enough excuses or deny all those things and still get elected.

The other thing that gets me is that he talks on TV about gay this or gay that and always has to bring up gay rights. That is not what gets you elected as that is not the thing most folks are worried about nationally. I for one, would like to be able to legally marry my wife, but I am more concerned about the economy and if I am going to have a job and insurance and if my brother and cousin are going to have to go back to iraq again. Besides all that, being gay is just a small part of who I am. I am a woman, an american, a worker, an occassional student, a child with aging parents, a person with bills, and so much more. I hear him talk about gay things but I have not heard him talk about womens issues or the economic stimulus or immigration and other things I know my co-workers and friends are worrying about. I have always been a supporter of the democrats but if he won and it came down between him and a republican I would vote for the elephant before the donkeys a/s/s Drew Pritt.

After reading about the lawsuits and court troubles he has been in on here and other places, how can he think anyone would trust him? I first learned about all of these things from the owner of one of the bars and that they had verified that he has in fact been arrested and convicted of hot checks and could not be trusted with anything. If all the stories about him from people in Little Rock were told, he would never be able to serve as a senator. If he were a real threat to Senator Lincoln, her people could just dig a little and they could have a smear campagin that would have the attention of the whole country. It could make a new hit TV show.

I will not vote for him for any amount of money. I do not trust him to follow through on any election promise He has promised us so many things and then did not do them. He always blames everyone else but him. Did I mention he owes us all money?

I am not a religious person, but his religious views are issue where he says one thing but does another. Jews and Christians both value being honest and doing what you say. Drew does not follow what he says.

I know that if every citizen in this state lost their minds and voted for him, he would wind up in federal prison for a financial crime or worse.

The way he reacts when we confront him about anything is that he "Owns" the system and we "owe" him. If he was elected he would try to be in charge of everything and would piss off everyone he had to deal with. he does not know how to find a comprimise and we all see that that is the only way things get done in the congress.

he makes up his own rules as he goes and thinks his way is always the right way. If we did not have two strong groups of strong minded women we would have never accomplished anything with him trying to run everything.

The other issue is how can any reasonable person take him seriously when he dresses like a slob, never bathes, and never brushes his teeth. I admit that I wear Jeans and t-shirts all the time, but if I wanted to be elected I would wear new clean matching suits. His terrible body odor(not sweaty, smells like A/s/s/), bad breath and gunk all over his teeth is just gross. his personal hygeine is the worst thing about him. it really is awful and everybody talks about it.

The sad part of all of this stuff is that he does not even care how others see him. In my opinion he is a really sick guy that needs a shrink really bad.

His cannot even be honest in creating a campaign web site, because even he does not know the truth about his past. The web site only has a place for money, nothing about him. That alone tells me what he really is wanting.

He claims to be Jewish, Episcopal and was raised presbyterian. I have a good friend who is involved with the Diamond State Rodeo Association and she tells me he is not, nor has ever been a member of that group, which he claims. He claims to speak for the GLBT community in Arkansas, but the real ground force is the lesbian community groups and he DOES NOT speak for us. He has said he is an activist with the Human Right Campaign HRC but there national office soes not kow him, when you call and ask about it.

I was told about this site by a friend who is involved with politics and the gay democrats and from what she shared with me, even they don't want to be associated with him and see him as a problem. The problem is his manner of talking to people and his hygeine. They don't want him representing them as a business/political person because there is nothing business or professional about him. She says (and I have heard it also) that he always name drops and that later when she has talked to any of the "well known" people that he says he knows they don't have a clue who he is or they just laugh him off as the village idiot. I have learned so much more about him from this site and after seeing the notes to search his name.

After i saw the post on here in another note to search his name, I did and I was shocked to see how many other people had the exact comments and feelings that I do. I called and talked to several of my brothers (kings) and shared with them what I found and they all looked to. It just let us know that we were not the only ones who thought he was a crazy camper. I saw where he denied everything printed, but as much as is there, he can't deny it all. Too many different people all saying the same thing. The encyclopedia dramatic article made me so mad, how can anyone harm an animal, anyone who does that is a terrible person and if he did leave porn up on a school computer he should be in jail, what if a little kid came in and saw that. If one of my younger siblings saw that I would be furious. AND he wants to be our senator?

He is so in your face with his being gay and does not realize that all that does is turn people off. It does not endear him to the voters. He does not see that wwe get so many supporters when we show them how we are the same instead of how we are different. I just hopw that Arkansas knows that he is not the typical gay or lesbian person.

He told us all before our "national" contest that he had all these other promoters and other states who were sending brothers (Kings) to compete and made it all sound like we were going to have major players showing up for the America New contest, but, true to Drew's typical lying ways, it was all hype. He also promised us a big stage at the Discovery but ended up using another place. Another lie.

I suspect that his "race" for senator from Arkansas is all hype as well, with the real reason being just another way for him to make money and not have to work. We (a group of Kings who are friends) have done quite a bit of background checking on him during the last few days since finding this site and we have found that very few things he told us about his past is right.

His comparing himself to well known people like Dr. King in his announcement made us all laugh, if he had said Bernie Madoff, Charles Keeting, or a monkey in the Little Rock Zoo it would have been more correct.

After I post this I am sure he will try to get me, but our troupes are too strong and there are too many of us lesbians in our city to make us back down. He done some mean things and said some mean things to each of us and about at least four of us and we are going to expose him for what he is. Our groups like most don't always get along or even necessarily like each other but when it comes down to things like this we always come together to support what is right in our community and we all agree that exposing him for what he really is, is the right thing to do.

He thinks taking a crown away will shut up the Kings and makes us try to live in fear that if we disagree with him he will take our crown or title but those days are gone. He has quoted to folks he has taken a crown from before that he did it for conduct unbecoming (like in the military), but according to what we have experienced and now have read here, he is the one with conduct unbecming. With one King he took a crown from he told her it was because she was disrespectful to him, but it looks like from every note he has written here and on the other sites with links from here, that he has been the one who is disrespectful, even calling people nazi's. How can someone who is supposed to be jewish reach to a low of calling people a nazi when they know how bad and terrible the nazis were? To me that is as offensive as calling someone the N word or calling me a d/y/k/e. No excuse for it.
I guess since he cannot control us, or anyone else here, he is going to try to control the state as a senator.

As I work in a large well known corporate company, I would be fired for using any of those words in talking about or to someone. I also saw a note where he talked about a sex toy in explicit words. Is this what people would want in a senator? Can his elevator really go to the top floor? How could he possibly think he could get elected with the public knowing he talks to people like this?

I almost wish he would get electd so that he would be gone from the state and so he could try to control and pull his stunts at the national level where he would be caught and exposed and get in some serious trouble instead of just pissing people off and walking away.

I write in my journal everyday for about an hour but today I decided instread to write on here. I feel better now that I got this out there. I hope my journaling here can help the people here in Arkansas to see that all glbt people are not stupid, loud mouthed, attention getters and that there are many of us that want to be treated equally and with respect but that we don't expect it without giving it. I also hope that people can see that Drew does not stand for and speak for us, as most of us are just everyday people who work jobs, worry about the same things straight people do and want what is best for our country and Drew is not it.

Thank you for letting me vent and share the view from most of the glbt people of Arkansas.

I guess my journal will have a blank page and a skipped date in it today because I wrote it all here.
