Single Payer Progress in Pennsylvania

by: DocJess

Fri Sep 04, 2009 at 08:00:00 AM EDT

No matter what happens at the Federal level, we in Pennsylvania are committed to working towards a Single Payer system in our state. If you're unfamiliar with the concept, you can read all the details here. In case anyone asks you, it is NOT socialized medicine.

We have bills in both the State Senate and Assembly, increasing numbers of co-sponsors, and support proclamations from various City Councils and Counties around the state.

We are planning our second rally in October. Here's the information:

You don't have to be a resident of Pennsylvania to attend the rally, and especially to join the mailing list. You can also join the cause page on Facebook. The HealthCare4ALLPA June rally attracted over 400 people, we're shooting for 1,000 this time.

great event! (0.00 / 0)
This is going to be a fantastic event.  There are going to be thousands of people in attendance!  I'm definitely going to be one of those who turns out in support of the Single Payer Solution in PA - HB1660 / SB400.

Attendance we're shooting for (0.00 / 0)
Actually, we're shooting for several thousand - and we'll achieve that goal!  Lets all turn out in Harrisburg PA on 10/22.
