The Buenos Aires apartment building of Maria, the woman Gov. Mark Sanford was having an affair with. Lots of lovey-dovey emails at The State.

The most interesting part is at the end...
Wednesday 6:15 a.m. Gina Smith, a reporter for The State, finds Sanford at the Atlanta airport. Sanford admits he had not, as his staff had reported, been on the Appalachian Trial. Sanford had exited a flight from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Sanford says he had been in South America, driving along the coast. 11 a.m. The State informs the governor's office it has obtained e-mails between Sanford and a woman from Argentina that details an extramarital relationship. Sanford previously had called a 2 p.m. news conference. 2:30 p.m. A tearful Sanford admits he had been having an affair with a woman from Argentina. He apologizes to his wife and the public. He resigns his chairmanship of the Republican Governor's Association.

So if it had not been for Gina Smith and the fact that The Slate had the emails then Gov. Sanford most likely would not have come out and told the world the truth!
Hartsfield and O'Hare are number 1 and 2 in the US for flights and passengers (they move back and forth) - there is no such thing as ONE plane that comes in - it's multiples at a time. (Or within a space of 5 minutes).
So HOW did she know from where he came? I can understand that she knew he came through customs, since you can meet people on the other side.
In reality, I believe that The State had the emails for a long time (maybe months) and therefore only had to see him around the customs area to know from whence he came.
It's only a little detail, but if they knew "where" ahead of time, and they already were holding the emails, what else do they know?
if he hadnt been exposed, would he have confessed? no, would you?
the truth is, his affair is none of our business, of course it makes him a hypocrite, but that cant be surprising for a wingnut, they are all hypocrites, as are the rest of us about one thing or another. what makes this the people's business is the bizarre way he went about the whole business, making one wonder at his judgement.
by the way, has anybody seem a picture of maria? and how did he get to be ;friends; with someone from south america? (i missed part of the news conference)
Maria Beatriz Nofal, President of the National Agency for Development, Argentina
Now this is what is being reported:
Today South American media sites have identified the woman as 43-year-old Maria Belen Chapur. La Nacion , a newspaper in Bueno Aires named her and another newspaper, Le Clarin , identified her with an alternate spelling María Belén Shapur.
Sanford booked 10-day getaway On or around the day his wife asked him to move out, South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford booked a ten-day trip to Buenos Aires, a person familiar with the governor's travel plans told POLITICO. Sanford booked the trip on Delta Air Lines on June 10, using the company's SkyMiles program, the source said. He bought a ticket for June 18, returning June 28.
