| We wrote on Jan 10: When the 100th Congress ended, all of Bush's pending nominations died also. Someone then asked, will he make them again? I responded, "that would be a good waste of paper".
Well, Bush has made a new nomination:Stuart Gordon Nash, of the District of Columbia, to be an Associate Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia for the term of fifteen years, vice Rufus Gunn King, III, retired. We never quite found out why this seriously lame duck nomination was made, and today, finally, it was withdrawn:
WITHDRAWAL SENT TO THE SENATE: Stuart Gordon Nash, of the District of Columbia, to be an Associate Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia for the term of fifteen years, vice Rufus Gunn King, III, retired, which was sent to the Senate on January 8, 2009.
